Good morning, I'm Renee Montagne. That smart aleck Chihuahua who starred in TV ads that turned into a pop cultural phenomenon has just taken a bite out of Taco Bell. A federal appeals court ruled last week the company owed the two men who came up with the idea for the little dog $42 million. The purveyor of burritos and tacos already survived controversy in the '90s. Then, some Latino leaders complained the fast-talking Chihuahua was feeding into negative stereotypes about Mexicans.
